Rose Clark, McComb High School Principal
Mrs. Rose Clark, Principal
601-684-5678

Mrs. Rose Clark, a dedicated educator, serves as the principal of McComb High school. She is a native of this community, graduating from North Pike High School with a Top Minority Scholarship. This was the first of a number of educational accomplishments. Mrs. Clark holds many degrees, including, an Associate Degree in Data Processing from Southwest Mississippi Community College; a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi; a Master’s Degree in Counseling, also from the University of Southern Mississippi; and a Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership from William Carey University She also completed the Mississippi Alternate Path to Quality School Leadership Training Institute (MAPQSL) and the National Institute for School Leadership (NISIL).

Educationally and spiritually, Mrs. Clark strongly believes “Works without faith is dead and faith without works is dead”. She is a persevere. Her favorite poem is, “Don’t Quit”. When the road gets rough, she perseveres. Her motto is “Learning and Leading with Pride”. According to this belief, her role as a leader is to be willing to learn as you lead. Mrs. Clark has also adopted a philosophy of “fluidity”. Over the past few years her ability to flow easily from one difficult situation to the next is what perfected her philosophy. This fluidity is also what gives her the strength to lead the high school through the unprecedented and uncertain time of the pandemic.

Mrs. Clark has a strong sense of dedication and loyalty. She has served the students of the McComb School District, in many capacities, for the past 29 years. Her career began in the position of classroom teacher, later becoming SFA Facilitator, then counselor, and more recently, assistant principal. She has assisted three principals and worked under the leadership of five superintendents. Even though she has worked in one district, the five different superintendents provided the experience of five different districts. Her life is first dedicated to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She serves faithfully at Gethsemane Church of God in Christ in leadership with her husband, Superintendent Perry Clark, Sr., who is a graduate of McComb School District. She also serves with her husband who is the Superintendent of the McComb COGIC District Church. She is the proud mother of two McComb School District graduates, Perry (Kim) Clark II, a professional engineer at Magnolia Electric and the late Amanda Clark who served as a speech pathologist in the McComb School District. Two of her grandchildren currently attend schools in the McComb School District. The latest addition to the family is her precious granddaughter.
