Major Gladney

SENIOR ARMY INSTRUCTOR

 
MAJ(R) Michael B. Gladney, Sr. joined the McComb staff in October 2019. He retired 01 October 2019 with 22 years of active duty service and a total of 29 plus years with active & guard service. He graduated from the Command and Staff College, Combined Arms Service and Staff, Field Artillery Officer Basic and Advanced Courses. MAJ Gladney holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Miss. State University, Starkville, MS. His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), Army Commendation Medal (3rd Award), Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), USN Unit Citation, Marine Corp /Army Good Conduct, Army Reserve Component Medal (2nd Award), National Defense Service Medal (w/Bronze star), Afghanistan Campaign Medal (w/Bronze Star), Iraq Campaign Medal (w/ 2 Bronze Stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Medal (w/ Bronze Star), Armed Forces Reserve Medal ( w/ Bronze HG & M device), Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon (3rd Award), NATO Medal, and the Combat Action Badge. MAJ Gladney married the former Theresa Gathings of Aberdeen, MS and they have two children Michael Jr. (26) and Diamond (23).

ARMY INSTRUCTOR

 

SSG (R) Eugene Washington joined the McComb staff in July 2014. He retired with 20 plus years of active duty and reserve time. He graduated (One Station Unit Training) at FT Sill, OK to be a Field Artillery Crewmember. During his career, SSG Washington has served as a Platoon Sergeant, Section Leader, Squad Leader, Howitzer Commander, Howitzer Gunner, Howitzer Driver, Field Recruiter, and Recruiting Company Station Commander. He  participated in Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and provide support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. SSG Washington has graduated from the Equal Opportunity Representative Course, the Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course, The Primary Leadership Development Course, the Army Combat Lifesavers Course and the United States Army Recruiting and Retention School. He holds an Associate’s degree in General Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Columbia Southern University. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal (5th award) Army Superior Unit, Army Good Conduct Medal (6th award), Army Reserve Achievement Medal, National Defense Medal, SW Asia Service Medal W/Bronze Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (2nd award), Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd award), Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/20 Year Device, Ku-Lib Medal, Driver & Mechanic Badge W/Driver-Wheeled Vehicle Clasp. SSG Washington is married to the former Kanesha Coleman, and they have 3 children Patrice (31), Tarnisha (27), and Noah (9).
